The Celtic Sea was ruled with an iron hand by a name that struck fear in the heart's of sailors: Clan O'Driscoll! Expert seafarers with a reputation for ferocity, none dared sail their waters without their leave. No ship, barrel, or maiden was safe!

But the last great O'Driscoll set his course for the Barbary nearly a century ago.

Weened on the tales of his ancestors, Devlin set off to recapture his family's glory. At twelve years of age he stowed away on a fishing vessel, making his way to England where he signed on to the first ship out. He spent the next several years charming his way across the Mediterranean, taking on any skill his fellow seafarers could offer and absorbing everything.

While in the employ of the East India Company, Devlin got into a fight with the Quartermaster. This unpleasant man took great joy in abusing the sailors under his command. In the ensuing “argument”, Devlin stabbed him in the throat and watched him choke on his own blood. The captain, a proper English gentleman, felt that an Irishman killing an officer in any case was bad for morale.

Clapped in irons below deck, Devlin wasn't sure how long he had been there when he was awakened by cannon fire. His eyes could not even make out the figure that offered him the choice between his present circumstances and the hospitality of a pirate. Watching his former vessel burn, Devlin offered his services to his new captain and crew.

Devlin O'Driscoll is a stunt performer who has been seen at several renaissance faires and theme parks but is also available for birthday parties and other events. He is skilled in rapier & dagger, cutlass, unarmed, and that most dangerous form of combat, the entertainment of children!
